THe appliques are embroidered with a matt grey thread onto a fine net backing . The flower leaf and stem shapes are outlined with fine silver cording . Six softly embroidered flowers are sewn along the applique to give a 3d effect.

Silver cording outlines the embroidered applique and gives definition and a subtle shine to the applique. The smaller flowers have single layer sewn to the applique. The larger flowers are made from a double layer. They are heavily embroidered in a soft grey thread and are uncorded.
